When Hasselblad cameras asked the 91Ãâ·Ñ for help in arranging a York Minster photo-shoot, we were more than happy to provide it. We have been using a Hasselblad digital camera system for over three years now and are delighted with the results and the quality of the images. Hasselblad's representative David Nield has been of tremendous assistance, offering technical advice on equipment and software. David approached us with a view to using York Minster as a location for testing the latest generation of Hasselblad equipment, with top Architectural Photographer Sean Conboy. Sean travels the world for major clients making remarkable images of buildings and interiors (his work can be seen on his ).

Nick Teed assisted in the photo-shoot and set ups and we are very grateful for the generous assistance of the York Minster staff in allowing the shoot to take place. Starting early in the morning, Sean's first image took in the tremendous scope of the choir looking towards the organ loft and the central tower. Among the other images taken on the day by Sean was a remarkable study of the Chapter House ceiling. Sean uses a Linhof technical camera adapted to take the new Hasselblad 60 Megapixel digital back. Using a very wide angle Rodenstock 23mm, lens he was able to capture the whole of the ceiling and the magnificent stained glass of the Chapter House without the distortion associated with smaller format cameras.
