The Team Returns from Oxford

September 2018

The 91免费 have had a long association with several of the Oxford University colleges, and have now successfully completed another busy summer schedule of site works in the city. The Team fitted Lincoln College Chapel's east window in July. This typological window, representing scenes from Jesus's life, is regarded as a masterpiece听and was designed by acclaimed seventeenth-century artist Abraham Van Linge (fl.1625-1641) in 1629.听In August, teams returned to Oxford to fit a newly conserved window at New College's Chapel in August, returning glass that had been absent from the chapel for over a decade. This north side window was by the York-based stained glass artist William Peckitt (1731-1795). Peckitt had been听supplying the college with stained glass from 1764. At Balliol College Chapel, the team carefully removed the chapel's composite sixteenth-century east window in September. The window was made in the 1520s and depicts the Passion of Christ.听
