Our environmental monitoring specialist, senior conservator Nancy Georgi ACR, has recently returned from a stimulating international interdisciplinary conference hosted by the Hornemann Institute in Hildesheim, Germany. The three-day conference -听Klimazone Kirche:听Pr盲ventive Konservierung der Ausstattung ('Church Climate: Preventative Conservation of Interior Furnishings')听-听explored climatic conditions within historic ecclesiastical buildings and examined techniques to detect and mitigate damages caused by a building's poor environment. 听
